Privacy policy

How trust.you handles browser-tool entries, site requests, editorial email and publishing operations.

Scope and contact

This policy covers trust.you and its browser-based tools. The Trust You Editorial Desk is responsible for the site's publishing operations. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to hello@trust.you. Do not include passwords, recovery codes, bank details or full identity documents.

Browser-tool entries

Interactive checklists, message reviews and URL previews run locally in your browser. Text, URLs and checklist answers are not submitted to trust.you, written to the site's server or placed in browser local storage or session storage. Site code does not retain the entries after you leave the page, although a browser may restore form values according to its own settings. Redact secrets before using any website tool.

Search requests

A guide search uses the phrase in the page URL so the server can return matching pages. The phrase may therefore appear in ordinary hosting request logs. Do not enter personal, confidential or account information into search.

Advertising, notifications and analytics

After a prior page visit, trust.you may load RollerAds web-push software from sdk4push.com and the browser may ask whether you want notifications. Permission is optional, and declining or blocking it does not limit the site's content or tools. When the software loads, its provider receives ordinary request information such as an IP address and browser headers. If the page URL contains a click_id value, the integration passes that value to the provider as an external click identifier. trust.you stores a prior-visit timestamp in local storage to delay this integration, but does not place browser-tool entries there. The application does not embed a separate third-party analytics service. RollerAds applies its own privacy practices to its service.

Sharing, copying and printing

Share buttons open the browser or device share chooser only after you select them. Copy actions write a page link or visible summary to your clipboard, and print actions use the browser's print dialog. trust.you does not record a share count, add tracking parameters or send the chosen destination to the site. Tool-result sharing excludes the original text or URL entered into the tool.

Server and security records

Hosting infrastructure may record the requested path, IP address, user agent, referral information, timestamp, response status and technical errors. These records are used for delivery, abuse prevention, troubleshooting and security. We do not sell personal information or use request logs to rank a person's trustworthiness.

Editorial email

If you email us, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, assess corrections, address accessibility feedback and maintain an appropriate editorial or security record. Retention depends on the request, the evidence needed for an editorial decision and applicable security or legal obligations.

Service providers and disclosure

Hosting, security and email providers may process request records or correspondence as needed to provide their services. We may disclose limited information when reasonably necessary to protect the site, investigate abuse, comply with a valid legal requirement or establish or defend a legal claim. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

trust.you does not retain browser-tool entries because site code does not receive them. Operational logs should be kept only as long as reasonably needed for delivery, troubleshooting, abuse prevention and security, subject to the hosting provider's settings and legal obligations. Editorial email is retained according to the purpose described above.

Scheduled publishing

The site publishes first-party editorial notes and contacts the site-specific Docs Library to retrieve additional articles and images. That server-to-server process reports the trust.you domain and publishing status, not visitor tool entries or reader search activity. Covers are stored and served by this site as optimized WebP files.

Generated visuals and production tools

Original editorial visuals may be created with an AI image-generation service during site production. Visitor inputs are not sent to that service through this website. Generated images are reviewed, optimised and stored as site assets before publication.

External links

Guides link to official agencies, standards bodies and other external sources. A plain link does not contact the destination merely because it appears on a trust.you page. Following it sends a request to the destination, which applies its own privacy practices.

Your choices and requests

You can use the published guides and tools without creating an account. Subject to applicable law, you may ask about personal information contained in an email or operational record, request correction or deletion, or raise an objection by contacting hello@trust.you. We may need enough information to verify and fulfil a request safely.

Legal grounds and complaints

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, operational processing is limited to legitimate needs such as delivering and securing the site, responding to a request, maintaining editorial records and meeting legal obligations. Rights and available legal bases vary by location. You may raise a concern with hello@trust.you or with the data-protection authority that applies where you live.

Policy changes

We update this policy when the site's data practices materially change. The public review date records the latest substantive review. Earlier wording may be retained in deployment history where available.
